the husband wish list. 

“Kind”, “Strong”, and “Loving” are qualities most girls want in a husband. In this list however, I decided to go beyond the general characteristics—the ones that should be a given anyways.

I wrote a wish list. Things that aren’t necessary but dreamed about. Things that I think of while driving alone with the windows rolled down, watching a new chick flick movie, or quietly observing other couples at restaurants. It is a messy list, one that I will keep adding to. I know that there is no such thing as a perfect guy, as there is no such thing as the perfect women. But I do know there is someone God made perfect for me out there…somewhere. So in the meantime, I will continue adding to this wish list until we finally meet. ❤

1. Someone who will bring me my favorite flowers on random days.
2. Knows that when I want to be alone, I really don’t want to be alone.
3. Knows to buy me a book instead of chocolates. (I don’t like chocolate).
4. Will sleep in with me on rainy days.
5. Won’t complain about all the 792348205 pictures that I will take.
6. Knows that a good morning text means the world.
7. But knows that giving me a handwritten letter is even better.
8. Someone I can sing along with.
9. Someone I always feel beautiful around (even without makeup, messy hair, and dirty clothes)
10. We would be a team, problem solvers.
11. He actually gives me his honest opinions when I ask.

13. Someone that I can depend on. Always.
14. Keeps his promises.
15. Has a gentle strength.
16. Unconditional love.
17. Will watch a thunderstorm with me.
18. Will wake up early with me to see the sunrise.
19. And to have coffee.
20. Takes us on unexpected road trips.
21. Silence would not be awkward.
22. And small talk wouldn’t always be necessary.
23. Lets me read while he drives.
24. Go on runs together.
25. Never lies.
26. Own our own dog.
27. Is willing to bake with me the random things I find on Pinterest.
28. Will keep me warm because I’m terrified and HATE being cold.
29. Knows my coffee order by heart and buys it for me by surprise.
30. WILL MAKE BANANA PANCAKES IN THE MORNING WITH ME JUST LIKE MY FAVORITE SONG.
31. Realizes that there are more important things in life than money.
32. Makes me laugh. always.
33. Holds my hand.
34. Has a favorite color he likes me in.
35. And buys me clothes in that color.
36. Quietly listens to me talk on and on and on…
37. CUDDLES
38. Possesses unlimited amounts patience in order to deal with my crazy self.
39. We would share inside jokes and acknowledge them with secret smiles.
40. Paints my nails.
41. Doesn’t mind my tattoos. (Even though they are pretty small anyways).
42. Is a true man.
43. A leader.
44. Dances with me in the rain at least once.
45. Brings me to the ocean.
46. Someone that I don’t have to second guess.
47. He would be my home.
48. Takes pictures of me.
49. And brings us on picnics.
50. Able to have deep conversations about important things and ridiculous things.
51. Plays with my hair.
52. Gives me piggyback rides.
53. Sings to me.
54. Spontaneous.
55. Teases me.

Psst! I understand that maybe some of these things are a lot to ask. But hey, I’m just day dreaming.
